Hi, I'm Ben Lewis, a Boulder, Colorado-based outdoor athlete. Zone Cruisin' is my adventure diary. I grew up under the shadow of Pikes Peak, hiking and messing around on the rocks and in the caves of Manitou Springs, Colorado.

Fast forward a few lifetimes to 2012, when I relocated to Boulder County. For many years, I called Lyons home, exploring the rich natural surroundings. I ran, pedaled, and backpacked my way through Boulder County Open Space, BLM land, National Forest, the Indian Peaks Wilderness, and Rocky Mountain National Park, always seeking to find novel, obscure areas to discover. That is, to cruise to new zones.

I began to run trail races and dabble in scrambling. Over time, spending time moving in the outdoors become my main passion. I'm not a pro, and I'm not out to do things to the extreme. Just an average guy who loves playing in the mountains.

As of 2024, I reside in South Boulder, where I continue to sample the expansive adventures available to me in the wilds of my backyard.

When inside, you can find me parenting, playing piano and Bluegrass fiddle, or writing computer code.
